Books to help your child with their Welsh literacy skills:
A letter was sent home on Wednesday with the names of four books to help your child at home. The books will help develop your child’s literacy skills. The books have been developed for parents to help their child / children at home. They are suitable for parents that speak Welsh and those that don’t speak Welsh. On each page is a set of guidelines in English.
The four books are ‘Recognizing Letters’, ‘Understanding Words’, ‘Creating Sentences’ and ‘Gaining Confidence’. We have contacted a Welsh book shop in Cardiff and we are able to purchase these books through them if you would like to buy some. The cost of each book is £4.99. If you would like to buy a copy of one of the books or all four, please send the slip, along with the money, back to Miss Passmore in the school by Friday, February 14th.
