Eisteddfod Arrangements:

Eisteddfod Arrangements:

19th May 2014

These are the arrangements for those who ARE travelling with the school to the Eisteddfod:

The Eisteddfod is getting closer and on Monday, 26th June, 22 pupils and 12 members of staff will be travelling on the bus to the National Eisteddfod in Bala.

We will be leaving Ysgol Gymraeg Cwmbrân at 12 o’clock on Monday, May 26th and we will be returning on Tuesday, May 27th. We have booked a place to stay in Llangollen which is about 20 minutes from Bala. (Llangollen Hostel)

We have no idea what time we will be returning to the school on Tuesday but it will be no earlier than 5 o’clock. The time depends on how the school performs in the different competitions. To get a better idea of our arrival time, you can phone the school mobile after 4 o’clock on the Tuesday.

The £30 you have already paid will go towards the following:

• Food on the Monday night.
• Breakfast on the Tuesday morning.
• Food on the way home on Tuesday.
• A contribution towards the bus and accommodation.

We have also paid the entrance money for each pupil competing. The pupils can bring their own spending money if they wish. This will go towards lunch in the Eisteddfod on Tuesday; any extra drinks they might want and towards anything they wish to buy in the Eisteddfod. (They will not need more than £10 to spend.)

If your child has any dietary requirements, please let me know. Any medicine, asthma pumps etc should be clearly labelled with your child’s name and handed to Miss Passmore before the pupils go on the bus. If your child needs to take any travel tablets etc, please note your child’s name on the box and we will also need a letter giving your consent.

Sleeping arrangements:
Pupils will be split into rooms of two, three or four, which has already been sorted. They will not need to bring a sleeping bag but each child will need a towel. They will need plenty of warm clothes along with the school uniform for the performance.

If you have any further questions, please contact Miss Passmore in the school.

Thank you.
