Here are some of the things that are happening at Ysgol Gymraeg Cwmbrân this week:
Monday:
We will be celebrating St. David's Day today. The pupils can come to school dressed in their traditional costumes, Welsh football / rugby tops etc if they wish.
Drama club for years 5 and 6 until 4:30.
A letter about the Eisteddfod will be sent home tonight.
Tuesday:
Pupil of the week assembly.
9:10 in the school hall.
After school clubs:
Creative dancing until 4:30.
Fitness club for year 4, 5 and 6 pupils until 4:30.
Football club for year 4, 5 and 6 pupils in the school until 4:30.
Sewing club for year 3 pupils until 4:30.
Wednesday:
Chess club for year 5 and 6 pupils during lunch time.
Urdd club for year 3 and 4 pupils until 4:30.
Thursday:
World Book day:
The pupils can dress up on this day if they wish e.g. favourite character from a book etc.
The pupils can also bring their favourite book to school if they have one.
A film crew from the Welsh television programme 'Heno' will be coming in to school to film an item on World Book Day today. If you do not want your child to be filmed, please inform your child's class teacher.
Swimming lesson for Miss Owen's class. (Year 4/5)
Creative dance session during lunch time.
(Please could the pupils bring their own clothes for this session?)
Reading session for year 6 pupils during lunch time.
Choir practice until 4:30.
Concert in the Congress Theatre. 6 o'clock.
(Pupils to be there by 5:30 please)
There are tickets available to buy from Ms Painter.
Friday:
Miss Faulknall's class will be receiving a violin lesson today. (9:15 - 10:30)
Miss Faulknall's class can also wear their own clothes if they wish today as they won the highest attendance for February with 99%.
Reading session for year 6 pupils during lunch time.
Hockey training for year 6 pupils.

Saturday:
Eisteddfod: The first round.
This will take place at Llanwern School. We won't know which competitions have to compete until Monday.
