Eisteddfod Gylch Letter:

The Eisteddfod: First Round (Saturday, March 7th, 2015)
Dear Parent / Guardian,
We’ve received the first draft of the program for the Eisteddfod on Saturday. Some things might still change before Saturday but, on the whole, things will remain the same.
Some competitions are going straight through to the second round so these competitions won’t need to take part on Saturday. The competitions that are going straight through to the second round on Saturday, March 21st are:
Choir/Ensemble (Those who are only in the choir only DO NOT need to come on Saturday.)
Remember that the creative dancing is not competing until Thursday, March 19th.
The first round will take place at Llanwern High School (NP18 2YE)
The Eisteddfod this year will be a little bit different to previous years. This year, for the first time, there will be prelims for the individual competitions and the duet. The main Eisteddfod will start at 10:30 am.
Here is a list of the competitions that will take place from 8 o’clock onwards:
(The reciting competitions will be in one room and the singing items in another.)

The two part party (deulais), one part party (unsain), the reciting group (grwp llefaru) and the drama group (ymgom) will need to be there at 11 o’clock please.
Remember that there is a small fee of about £2/£3 to pay for entry. (Those taking part don’t have to pay.)
