Here are the arrangements for next week at Ysgol Gymraeg Cwmbrân:
Colour of the week for the nursery children is pink - pinc.
Language pattern of the week:
Foundation Phase children: Names of different animals in Welsh, concentrating on plurals e.g. ci - cwn.
Key Stage 2 pupils: The difference between 'pan' and 'pryd'.
Monday:
Pontypool Urdd Club for pupils in years 3-6.
This club is run in St. James Lower Hall, Hanbury Road, Pontypool between 4:30 and 6 every Monday night for just £1 a session.
Tuesday:
Pupil of the week assembly.
09:10 in the school hall.
Miss Griffiths' class trip to Pontypool Museum.
(The pupils will be back in time for school dinner. School uniform.)
Cooking club for year 2 Miss Hughes' class. 3:30 - 4:30. £1.
Choir practice from 3:30 - 4:30.
Meeting for year 6 parents / guardians at Ysgol Gyfun Gwynllyw.
(Informal meeting will begin at 4pm / Formal meeting will begin at 6pm.)
Wednesday:
Welsh lessons for parents in the school library. 09:00-11:30.
Football training session with Newport County for Miss Faulknall's class. (PM)
Year 5 and 6 pupils will be watching a drama based on the Blitz today.
Urdd club for year 3 and 4 pupils until 4:30.
Creative Writing club for year 5 and 6 pupils until 4:30.
Thursday:
London choir practice at the Riverfront Theatre.
(10:30 - 2:30)
The pupils will need a packed lunch on this day please.
Miss Heledd Williams' class trip to Pontypool Museum.
(The pupils will be back in time for school dinner. School uniform.)
Swimming lesson for Miss Broad's class.
Rugby club for year 4, 5 and 6 pupils until 4:30.
Fitness club for year 4, 5 and 6 pupils until 4:30.
Friday:
Coffee Morning for Nursery / Reception parents and guardians.
Nursery parents: 09:15 - 10:15
Reception parents: 10:30 - 11:30
Rugby competition in Blaenavon.
(Those competing have received a letter.)
The pupils can come to school dressed in their sports clothes. They will need a packed lunch please.
(Those suffering from asthma will need a pump on the day.)
Violin lesson for year 2 - Miss Hughes' class between 09:10 and 10:10.
Hockey lesson for year 6 pupils.
